Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

PayrollManagement & Leadership:

  • Lead and manage end-to-endpayrollprocessing for multiple entities, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Supervisepayrollexecutives/associates and provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Validate employee data, attendance, variable components, and reconciliations prior topayrolldisbursement.
  • Ensure robust controls are in place for error-freepayrollprocessing.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, LWF, Gratuity, and other applicable laws.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
  • Ensure timely issuance of Form 16 and other statutory documents.
  • Stay updated with amendments in tax and labor regulations and ensure company policies are aligned.

Audit, Reporting & Reconciliation:

  • Conduct periodicpayrollaudits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • PreparepayrollMIS reports, dashboards, and analytics for management.
  • Reconcilepayrollaccounts with finance and statutory deductions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records and explanations.

Employee Experience & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as an escalation point for employeepayrolland tax-related queries.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolvepayrolldiscrepancies.
  • Ensure clear communication ofpayrollpolicies, tax benefits, and statutory guidelines to employees.

Process Improvements & Automation:

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhancepayrollefficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive automation and adoption of digitalpayrollsolutions (GreytHR, ZohoPayroll, or equivalent).
  • Document and updatepayrollSOPs and process flows for standardization.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5 7 years ofpayrollmanagement experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
  • Proficiency inpayrollsoftware (GreytHR, ZohoPayroll, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indianpayrolllaws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to managepayrollfor medium to large organizations.
