Role Description The Pastry Chef Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role involves planning and delivering hands-on pastry and baking classes, demonstrating techniques, and guiding learners through recipes and production processes. The instructor will develop lesson plans, maintain training kitchens, ensure safety and hygiene standards, and evaluate student performance with constructive feedback. Daily responsibilities include preparing ingredients and equipment for classes, conducting practical and theory sessions, supporting curriculum development, and collaborating with the academic team to maintain high teaching quality. The Pastry Chef Instructor also helps mentor students for examinations, industry placements, and entrepreneurial pursuits in the pastry and baking field.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Bakery and Baking, with experience producing a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts.
- Expertise in Food Preparation and Cooking, including ingredient handling, recipe execution, and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated Culinary Skills with a focus on pastry arts, plating, and presentation standards.
- Prior experience as a pastry chef or instructor in a professional kitchen or culinary school.
- Formal culinary or pastry qualification from a recognized institute; international certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to design and deliver clear, structured lessons and communicate complex techniques to diverse learners.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and classroom discipline.
