Job Description

The role will be a focal point between the Finance BPO, regions, and GSC Team Leads (including GRC, ATR, PTP, and MDM) regarding business process outsourcing, process optimization, and process creation accounting, reporting & special projects as such standardization.

  • Oversee the management and Order to cash related activities.
  • Cash applications for customer collections
  • Inform & follow up with the regions for non-available remittance details.
  • Daily Bank recons & reporting, ensuring actions are taken on the open items.
  • Invoice creation in ERP as per inputs provided by the region (Both Internal & External)
  • Sending regular SOAs (statement of accounts) to the customers
  • Follow up with the customers for aged/due invoices.
  • Prepare & present AR report to the commercial team for AR recovery.
  • Run projects regarding design and implementation of new processes, project teams will typically be staffed with other members of the GSC.
  • Track and report on the status of transitioned processes Perform / Validate internal controls for various accounting tasks.
  • Provide recommendations for process optimization.
  • Conduct AR scrutiny at regular intervals & ensure data authenticity.
  • Perform UATs Business process design, testing, and roll-out for new procedures which are being developed provide timely suggestions/observations for our new ERP system roll-out (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Advocate GSC Team guide to complete & meet the timelines for the new migration planned with business process outsourcing when rolling out our new ERP system and transitioning the Svitzer GSC to become end-to-end process driven organization.
  • Participate in process improvement projects around further automation and standardization of GSC processes.

Required experience
  • 8+ years of overall experience in OTC with min 3years of experience in people management.
  • Deep end-to-end understanding Sound knowledge in one of the core business process areas within Operational Finance (PTP, ATR, GRC, MDM)
  • An interest in learning about and designing processes for the core business process areas within Operational Finance
  • Basic Have successfully managed projects
  • Experience with change management
  • Understanding of internal controls
  • Experience from an international work environment, where tasks are outsourced/Finance shared service center experience (AR/AP/GL)
Technical skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Navision would be preferred.
  • IFRS Certification would be an added advantage.
  • Good Knowledge of Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI.
  • Experience with data interpretation , robotics, and automation
Business skills
  • Experience with business process outsourcing with demonstrated success from designing, testing, and transitioning processes2, Sound problem-solving interpretation & time management skills to close the books as per stringent closing timelines.
  • Can drive improvement projects and the team .
  • Strong stakeholder management and Team coordinator experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. in the English language
  • Experience dealing with, managing, and driving change.

  • Analytically minded and unsupervised problem solver
Key measures
  • Successful integration into the Project GAIN project team (ERP rollout) Timely & accurate completion of BAUs with less supervision.
  • Successfully deliver ad-hoc process design work requested in the first 6 months
  • Strong relationship with the other Svitzer GSC Team coordinator
  • Significant contributions to new process design and project rollout
  • Consistently striving for the process standardization/automation
