Experience & qualification Required
8–15 years experience in OT engineering, OT/IT Convergence & industrial network architecture.
Bachelor's in engineering preferably Electrical Engineering
Experience in utilities such energy, oil & gas
Key Responsibilities
1. OT Architecture & Design
- Develop end-to-end OT architecture blueprints covering control systems, industrial networks, edge compute, and integration layers.
- Design SCADA, EMS, IoT Framework, HMI and historian system architectures.
- Worked on Disaster Recovery (DR) Framework.
- Lead modernization initiatives such as Industry 4.0, IIoT, cloud integration, and digital twin adoption.
2. OT/IT Convergence
- Build secure and controlled interfaces between OT environments and enterprise IT systems.
- Define data flows, integration patterns, and communication protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherNet/IP).
- Collaborate with IT architects on network segmentation, identity, and infrastructure alignment.
3. OT Cybersecurity
- Implement security frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-82).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis for OT systems.
- Define and enforce policies for network zoning, secure remote access, patching, and incident response.
- Work with SOC teams to integrate OT monitoring and threat detection
4. Project Leadership & Governance
- Lead architecture and design efforts for new plants, OT upgrades, or digital transformation programs.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering, automation, cybersecurity, and IT teams.
- Maintain architecture documentation, standards, and lifecycle roadmaps.
- Evaluate and approve new OT technologies, vendors, and solutions.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in ICS/SCADA systems (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Hitachi etc.)
- Deep understanding of SCADA, EMS, HMIs, historians, and industrial protocols.
- Experience with industrial networking (Cisco, Moxa, Fortinet).
- Worked on OT Endpoint Protection, Secure Remote Access Devices, OT Network Monitoring & Asset Discovery Appliances
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools for OT (firewalls, NAC, IDS/IPS, SIEM integration).
- Familiarity with cloud & IIoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, Siemens MindSphere).
- Understanding of virtualization, edge computing, and high-availability architectures.
