Mode of Hire: Contract to Hire

• Must Have : PLSQL experience to work on uplifting all of our Oracle databases to version 19C, rewriting any code that is currently using deprecated features.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance database applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing complex PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages, and have strong analytical and performance tuning skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database scripts.
• Work with application developers to integrate database logic with front-end systems.
• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance tuning and scalability.
• Perform data analysis, data migration, and transformation as required.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and constraints.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all environments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and non-production environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all database-related components.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years (or relevant experience) in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and packages
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• Data modeling and normalization
• Indexing, partitioning, and large dataset management
• Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Oracle APEX, Forms/Reports, or ETL tools (Informatica, ODI, etc.).
• Exposure to UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Experience with cloud databases (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.
