Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
PL/SQL Developer with a strong command of
Oracle Database and deep expertise in
performance tuning and
query optimization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing complex PL/SQL code and working closely with application and DBA teams to enhance and maintain system performance in high-volume production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions for enterprise-grade systems.
- Analyze, optimize, and tune SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance performance.
- Perform execution plan analysis, index tuning, and other diagnostics using tools such as AWR, ADDM, SQL Trace, and TKPROF.
- Work with application developers and DBAs to resolve database performance issues across environments.
- Assist in Oracle upgrades (e.g., 12c/19c to 23c), ensuring minimal disruption and performance loss.
- Participate in code reviews, share best practices, and contribute to quality and standards enforcement.
- Support data migration, ETL logic, and large-volume dataset handling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
- Document all development, optimization techniques, and performance tuning recommendations.
- Provide support in schema design and data architecture planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
- Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL programming including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Strong background in SQL performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and Oracle indexing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle performance tools like AWR, ADDM, SQL Trace, and TKPROF.
- Experience in data migration, handling large volumes of data, and ETL logic design.
- Familiarity with Oracle versions 12c, 19c, or later.
- Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, memory structures, and optimizer behavior.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice To Have
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Exposure to emerging Oracle database technologies (e.g., 23c).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools or CI/CD pipeline integration with database environments.
- Prior experience working in cross-functional technical teams.
