Eligibility Criteria : B.E. /B. Tech. /MCA or equivalent (or) Graduate

Job Description:

The expert must perform installation, maintenance/ configuration of the Linux/OS - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), Oracle Linux, Centos, HP-UX, Ubuntu or any other flavour of Unix/Linux), within the Data Centre.

Should have very good knowledge on VMware virtualization technology & clustering.

Should have good understanding of KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine)

Linux/OS Upgradation and patch deployment, Security and Hardening.

Perform day-to-day Linux server administration tasks & ensure onsite 24x7x365 support as & when required during holidays, weekends and night activities for outage or scheduled activities.

Configure and troubleshoot filesystems, LVM, disk partitions, and mount points.

Configure and manage network settings, static routes, bonding, DNS, and firewalls.

Prepare/Update/ Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.

Regularly monitor and maintain a log of the status of critical services, the performance of servers, including but not limited to monitoring of CPU, disk space, memory utilization, I/O utilization, etc. and maintain the reports for future audit purposes

Daily Health Check-up report of Linux Servers.

Quarterly PM activity & maintain SLA as per agreement.

Support in closing VAPT Points as per statutory body audit.

Allocation LUN to Linux Host from Storage.

Support in Information SystemSecurity Audit as & when scheduled.

Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash) for system automation and monitoring.

Participating, supporting & troubleshooting during DR Drill activity.

Maintaining system security by identifying vulnerable areas and providing protections.

Perform backup and restore operation.

System Performance Tuning.

Basic knowledge about storage.
