Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision issues, and prescribing appropriate corrective measures such as lenses or glasses. The role also involves educating customers on eye health, advising on frame and lens options, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. Collaboration with store staff to deliver seamless operations and maintain professionalism is essential.
Qualifications
- Expertise in conducting eye exams and diagnosing vision abnormalities
- Knowledge of prescription writing and recommending corrective lenses
- Interpersonal skills for educating and advising customers on eye health and eyewear options
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and maintain a customer-friendly environment
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry or related field from a recognized institution
- Relevant certifications or licenses to practice optometry in India
- Attention to detail and high standards for accuracy and care
- Experience in retail or healthcare settings is a plus
