About Skydo
Behind every Indian business going global is money they worked hard to earn. But when it's time to get paid, they wait days and lose 3-7% of their revenue to hidden forex markups and fees nobody explains, just to receive what's already theirs.
We're fixing this. Skydo gives exporters flat fees, zero forex markup, settlement in hours, and compliance that's handled for them from start to finish.
Join us and help millions of ambitious businesses get paid the way they deserve.
About the job
At Skydo, we are looking for an exceptional Tier-1 engineering graduate (0–1 year of experience) to join our Operations team as a Process Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Operations and partnering with our Payment Ops, CX and Compliance leads, you will own loss elimination and automation across all three departments — turning manual work into tech and every recurring loss into a fixed, monitored system. During ramp-up and new launches you will also spend time hands-on in operations, learning each process from the inside so you automate what truly matters. As an early-stage startup, we expect the role to be broad-based and the candidate self-driven, growing into full ownership of the automation roadmap as we scale.
What you will do :
- Own the loss charter across Payment Ops, CX and Compliance — build loss trees, quantify every gap in TAT, accuracy, cost, manual effort and false positives, and drive it to zero at root cause
- Own the automation charter — convert manual workflows, alerts, document parsing and reconciliation into tech, raising straight-through processing (STP) across all three teams
- Lead high-impact efficiency, accuracy and AI projects end-to-end using a structured DMAIC approach; ship AI-led solutions (assist/deflection, summarisation, screening, extraction, anomaly detection)
- Build analytical models, dashboards and real-time alerting (SQL / Metabase / BI) to make losses visible as they happen; partner with Product and Tech to deliver the automation roadmap
- Spend 20-30% of your time hands-on in day-to-day operations during ramp-up and launches, and embed each improvement into SOPs with monitoring
You're a good fit if you have:
- Experience: 0–1 year. Fresh graduates welcome — a track record of building (internships, projects, hackathons, competitive programming, automation/data work) matters more than years. Fintech/payments/quick-commerce/SaaS-ops exposure is a plus.
- Education: A Tier-1 engineering college (IIT / BITS / NIT or equivalent) with a strong academic record; industrial engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Automation & AI fluency: hands-on ability to automate and scale processes with tech, data and modern AI/LLM tooling.
- Problem-solving & analytics: a first-principles, problem-solving thinker;with strong data and dashboarding skills.
- Engineering fluency: comfortable reading and understanding code across any language - able to trace logic, debug, and reason about how systems work without needing language-specific expertise. Can pick up new stacks quickly and collaborate with engineers.
- Dashboarding & visibility: building and maintaining dashboards will be a core part of the role - you'll own end-to-end visibility into operations and metrics, turning raw data into clear, real-time views the team can act on.
- Ownership & hunger: high ownership and a builder's bias; willing to go hands-on in operations during ramp-up and driven to grow into full charter ownership.
The mindset we're seeking:
- An automation-first, zero-loss mindset — a strong bias to digitise, standardise and productize manual workflows, and to size impact before you build
- Hands-on ability with SQL, BI/dashboards, MS Excel and AI/LLM tools, plus scripting/APIs to prototype and ship — demonstrated through projects, internships or coursework (mandatory)
- A builder's bias and fast learning curve; eagerness to get hands dirty in operations to understand a problem before automating it
- Strong analytical, first-principles problem-solving and cross-functional communication (ops, product, tech, compliance); discretion, diligence and high ownership
