Operating Engineer

The Shubert Organization is America's oldest professional theatre company and the largest theatre owner on Broadway. With a rich history dating back to the early 20th Century, Shubert has operated hundreds of theatres and produced numerous acclaimed plays and musicals in New York City and nationwide. Shubert currently operates seventeen Broadway theatres and six off-Broadway venues, and is known for notable productions such as Cats and Dreamgirls. In addition to theatre operations, Shubert Ticketing provides innovative ticketing solutions through Telecharge and other platforms, selling millions of tickets annually. The Shubert Foundation supports live performing arts in the U.S. through substantial grant programs.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Operating Engineer located in Madurai South. The Operating Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the building's mechanical systems. Duties include performing preventive maintenance, facility management, and conducting repairs to ensure the building operates efficiently and safely. The role also involves overseeing plumbing systems and responding to any issues as they arise.

• Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM) skills
• Experience in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair
• Proficiency in Plumbing
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
