Role Description The Occupational Therapist at Thanal will provide client-centered assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation services, with a focus on enhancing daily living skills, functional independence, and participation in community activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating clients physical, cognitive, and sensory needs; developing individualized treatment plans; delivering therapy sessions; and documenting progress in line with organizational standards. The role involves close collaboration with healthcare professionals, educators, families, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care, particularly for pediatric clients and individuals requiring long-term support. The therapist will also contribute to awareness programs, caregiver training, and community-based rehabilitation initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanjirapalli.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, with the ability to assess and treat a range of functional, sensory, and cognitive challenges.
- Knowledge of Medicine and Rehabilitation principles to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and design evidence-based interventions.
- Effective Communication skills for working with clients, families, caregivers, and community stakeholders in diverse settings.
- Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including assessment and therapy for children with developmental, learning, or physical needs.
- Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and eligibility for relevant professional registration or licensing.
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical records, prepare reports, and adhere to ethical and professional standards in a non-profit environment.
- Commitment to community service, cultural sensitivity, and working with vulnerable or underserved populations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage caseloads and work collaboratively within a team.
