NodeJS/React/NextJS Full Stack Developer

Role Description

The role is for a 1-3 year experienced NodeJS/React/NextJS Full Stack Developer based in the Kolkata metropolitan area for a popular sports OTT platform. The role involves not just development but extensive product ownership for a sports OTT Platform and working with cross functional teams both technical and non technical.

It is highly desired that the applicant has enthusiasm towards and follows sports, as the day to day work also involves keeping track of various sports competitions.

The role involves a 5 day work week with 1 day of the week being on premises, and 4 days of the week being remote. This roles requires availability on non standard days - depending on match days, and off days will be allocated within the team on round robin basis. This means, on some weeks the developer might have to be available on weekends as well with compensating off days on week days.

The technical aspect role involves developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications using NodeJS, React, and NextJS. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in software development life cycles, optimize performance and scalability, and ensure a seamless user experience through front-end and back-end systems integration. The role also involves monitoring live and critical events and be on standby for support if necessary.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Full-Stack Development
• Expertise in Front-End Development and experience with React and NextJS
• Strong understanding of Software Development principles and best practices
• Solid knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for creating responsive and visually appealing interfaces
• Problem-solving mindset, detail-oriented approach, and ability to deliver clean, efficient code
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and APIs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
