Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) [3-5 years - Product Based company]

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work on developing and maintaining server-side applications, collaborating with senior developers to build scalable solutions, and contributing to our growing technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js a

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

Create and optimize database queries

Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers

Assist in troubleshooting and debugging backend issues

Write and maintain API documentation

Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements

Participate in agile development processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering

3+ years of professional software development experience

Strong foundation in Node.js

Experience with RESTful APIs and web services

Basic understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)

Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

Knowledge of backend frameworks (Express.js, Django, or Flask)

Basic understanding of software development principles and best practices

Preferred Skills

Experience with microservices architecture

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

Experience with testing frameworks

Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker)

Familiarity with agile development methodologies
