Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Nephrologist based in the Kutch district. The Nephrologist will provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Daily responsibilities include managing inpatient and outpatient nephrology consultations, supervising dialysis services, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves performing and overseeing hemodialysis procedures, optimizing fluid and electrolyte management, and adjusting medications based on kidney function. The Nephrologist will also participate in transplant-related care, patient education on disease management and lifestyle modification, and maintenance of accurate clinical documentation. Additional duties may include contributing to clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior medical staff where applicable.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine with the ability to manage complex medical conditions associated with kidney disease.
- Specialized expertise in Nephrology, including evaluation and management of acute and chronic renal disorders.
- Hands-on experience with Dialysis and Hemodialysis, including prescription, monitoring, and complication management.
- Exposure to or experience with Transplant-related nephrology care, including pre- and post-transplant management, is preferred.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a completed residency in Internal Medicine and formal training or fellowship in Nephrology.
- Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice as a Nephrologist as per local regulatory requirements.
- Strong clinical judgment, evidence-based decision-making, and clear, empathetic communication with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to ethical practice and patient safety.
- Willingness to relocate to or work in the Kutch district and adapt to local community healthcare needs.
