About the Role

Ddesignery is looking for an experienced Modular Furniture Design Engineer who can convert approved designs into accurate production-ready drawings and coordinate the complete execution process from design finalization to manufacturing and installation.

This is a technical execution role focused on AutoCAD production drawings, BOQs, factory coordination, and project execution rather than purely 3D design.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate BOQs, material specifications, hardware schedules, and production documentation.

• Convert approved architectural and interior designs into factory-executable production drawings.

• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, clients, and project teams to finalize dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, and construction details.

• Release approved production drawings while maintaining proper drawing revision control.

• Coordinate with factory production teams to ensure accurate manufacturing and timely execution.

• Work closely with procurement teams regarding material planning, hardware requirements, and production schedules.

• Coordinate with CNC, cutting, drilling, edge banding, assembly, and manufacturing teams during production.

• Support installation teams by resolving technical and execution-related issues during site installation.

• Monitor production progress and coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects are completed within timelines.

• Minimize production errors, material wastage, and rework through accurate technical documentation.

• Prepare detailed drawings and technical documentation for new furniture products and prototypes whenever required.

• Maintain project-wise production drawings, BOQs, material schedules, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate snag rectification and provide technical support until successful project completion.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing production and shop drawings.

• Hands-on experience preparing production-ready drawings for modular kitchens, wardrobes, office furniture, and custom furniture.

• Strong experience preparing BOQs, material specifications, hardware schedules, and production documentation.

• Practical knowledge of modular furniture construction, including plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, veneers, edge banding, and furniture hardware.

• Good understanding of CNC-based modular furniture manufacturing processes.

• Experience coordinating directly with factory production and installation teams.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for BOQ preparation and material planning.

• Knowledge of furniture hardware systems such as Hettich, Häfele, Ebco, or equivalent brands.

• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar 3D software will be an added advantage.

Preferred Background

Candidates currently working with modular furniture manufacturers, modular kitchen companies, wardrobe manufacturers, office furniture manufacturers, custom furniture manufacturers, or interior fit-out companies will be preferred.
