Job Description

Job title : Middleware Administrator (L3 Support)

location : Bangalore

Job Description

Preferred experience 10-12 years (L3 Support)

  • The Middleware Administrator supports and documents the installation,

configuration, capacity planning, upgrading, problem resolution and debugging of all

middleware product environments

  • Coordinates environment configuration activities to ensure integration and

alignment with other IT technology, processes, systems, applications, and

environments

  • Document middleware platforms and related infrastructure as directed with

respect to functionality, maintenance and administration

  • Install and configure server operating systems, enterprise software and

middleware services, including settings, directories, storage, in accordance with

standards and project/operational requirements m

  • Provides technical support and guidance (level 3) to end-users, and other IT

resources

  • Self-motivated and possess drive, and ability to work independently and be a good

team player.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on definition of infrastructure standards and contribute to the overall

architecture roadmap

  • Collaborates on technical design and provides consulting including identification

and documentation of requirements and design

  • Collaborates in the installation, configuration and upgrading of enterprise

application software, customizing soft tables and program parameters and managing

associated environments

  • Recommend and lead improvements to provide the highest level of availability and

performance

  • Follows policies and procedures to ensure corporate compliance, examples

include corporate data security and change control

  • Coordinate with engineering, solution vendors and support teams on problem

resolution, design issues and upgrades

Must have Skills for Middleware Administrator

  • Extensive knowledge on Apache Tomcat / Apache HTTPD / Nginx / IIS / Oracle

Weblogic / Oracle Httpd server

  • Unix / Linux & Windows operating systems
  • Shell scripting
  • Networking concepts
  • Perl scripting
  • Experience in DevOps Open Source Middleware technologies/tools and

automation development will be an advantage.
