They handle product placement, monitor inventory, manage pricing strategies, and build eye-catching displays.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management: Track stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with warehouses to prevent overstocking or stockouts.Visual Merchandising: Design and execute product displays, set up promotional signage, and utilize planograms to maximize visual appeal and customer interest.Stock Maintenance: Restock shelves, rotate perishable items (FIFO), and remove damaged or expired merchandise.Data Analysis & Pricing: Analyze sales figures and market trends to set prices, plan markdowns, and inform future purchasing decisions.Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with vendors, buyers, and distributors to negotiate prices, track deliveries, and maintain relationships.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: A high school diploma or GED is often the baseline, though degrees in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or Fashion are common for corporate roles.Experience: Typically 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in retail, inventory management, or a creative merchandising role.Key Skills: Strong numerical and data analysis skills, creative visual sense, proficiency with inventory software, and excellent communication.Physical/Travel Demands: May require the ability to lift heavy items (e.g., up to 50 lbs.) and travel
