Job Description: Senior Merchandiser

About the Role

eWe are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser with strong technical and creative understanding of patterns, silhouettes, and embroideries. The ideal candidate has worked with a reputed fashion house and can independently drive product development, sampling, production coordination, and buyer communication

.Key Responsibilitie

sProduct Development & Design Coordinatio

• nInterpret design briefs and convert them into development-ready samples
• .Collaborate with designers to refine patterns, silhouettes, detailing, and embroidery placements
• .Ensure all design elements are technically feasible for production

.Sampling & Production Managemen

• tLead the sampling process from proto stage to PP approvals
• .Coordinate with pattern masters, sampling teams, and embroiders
• .Monitor production timelines, quality standards, and vendor adherence
• .Troubleshoot technical issues related to fit, construction, and artworks

.Buyer & Vendor Communicatio

• nServe as the main point of contact for domestic/international buyers
• .Share costing, timelines, fabric/trim options, and T&A plans
• .Manage vendor relationships, negotiate costs, and ensure smooth workflow

.Costing & Plannin

• gPrepare accurate cost sheets and BOMs
• .Ensure cost-effective execution without compromising on design integrity
• .Track materials, trims, approvals, and order sheets

.Quality & Complianc

• eConduct fit reviews, size set checks, and QA evaluations
• .Ensure compliance with buyer standards and internal quality benchmarks

.Documentation & Reportin

• gMaintain WIP reports, T&A calendars, order trackers, and approvals documentation
• .Provide regular production updates to management and buyers

.Required Skills & Experienc

• e48 years of experience as a Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser
• .Strong knowledge of pattern making, silhouettes, embroideries, trims, and garment construction
• .Experience in women's wear/ethnic wear/western wear (as applicabletell me if you want this customized)
• .Excellent communication and vendor management skills
• .Proficiency in T&A management, costing, and production planning
• .Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail
