ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Senior MEP Specialist/Team Lead to drive the design and execution of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) services across high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team through the full project lifecycle, from concept design through commissioning and handover, while coordinating closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Planning:
- Lead concept design and design development of MEP services (Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, Electrical, STP/ETP, Rain Water Harvesting, RO/DM plants, IBMS, BMS, Security systems) for large-scale developments.
- Review and approve technical specifications, schematics, data sheets, and system sizing calculations.
- Ensure designs comply with local codes, NBC, fire/life-safety norms, and green building standards (IGBC/LEED).
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Prepare and float MEP tenders; lead pre-bid meetings and prepare comparative matrices for contractor selection.
- Lead negotiations and finalize contracts with MEP contractors and vendors.
- Coordinate with international and local MEP design consultants where required.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of MEP engineers and site staff.
- Act as the primary point of coordination between architects, structural/MEP consultants, contractors, and project management teams.
- Review and certify contractor RA bills against measurement sheets, checklists, BOQ, and test reports.
- Report project status, risks, and budget tracking to senior management.
QUALIFICATION
Diploma/ BTech/MTech Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
EXPERIENCE
15-25 years relevant experience in residential/commercial projects
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong working knowledge of Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, Electrical Systems, STP/ETP, RWH, RO/DM plants, IBMS, BMS/FAPA, and AVIT systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and MS Office.
- Familiarity with IGBC/LEED green building certification processes.
- Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
