Key Responsibilities
- Prepare design drawings, layouts, and detailed engineering calculations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other building services systems.
- Review project specifications and client requirements to develop integrated MEP solutions.
- Perform load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
- Develop schematic diagrams, BOQ, and technical documentation for MEP systems.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil teams to ensure design integration.
- Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and equipment submittals.
- Ensure all designs comply with local authority codes, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
- Provide technical support during project execution, testing, and commissioning stages.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct value engineering to optimize cost while maintaining performance and quality.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Dialux, ETAP or equivalent software.
- Good understanding of IS, IEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, and local building codes.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 37 years of experience in MEP design (construction, industrial, or commercial projects).
- Experience in design consultancy or EPC companies preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
