Objective: Lead and manage the development team in designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using the Mendix low-code platform. Serve as the primary technical authority on Mendix development and architecture, ensuring the successful delivery of Mendix projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Mendix development team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into Mendix solutions.
Design and architect complex Mendix applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Develop custom modules, Microservices, and integrations using Mendix and associated technologies.
Configure and optimize Mendix applications for performance, scalability, and security.
Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during development and deployment.
Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and quality guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Mendix applications with existing systems and infrastructure.
Stay updated on the latest Mendix features, updates, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 8 years of hands-on experience with the Mendix platform.
Strong proficiency in Mendix development, including experience with Microflows, Domain Models, and UI design.
Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, AzureDevOps/JIRA).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members towards achieving project goals.
Mendix Developer Certification is a plus.
Preferred:
Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Mendix applications.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and design patterns.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience in implementing Mendix solutions in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience in mentoring and training junior Mendix developers.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
