The Opportunity
We are looking for engineers who are passionate about working on scalable distributed systems. You will be part of the Nutanix Cassandra team, which owns the metadata part of the Nutanix Storage Virtualization.
Nutanix Clusters provides a single platform that can span private and public clouds but operates as a single cloud using a single control plane, enabling true hybrid cloud architecture. Nutanix cluster provides the resource virtualization to manage your resources efficiently with high availability and recoverability at scale. The Nutanix Cassandra team is a part of the storage virtualization layer of the Nutanix cluster.

Your Role
In this role, you will
- Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems
- Participate in feature design and delivery, influencing decisions with a strong bias towards quality and customer delight.
- Design high-level test approaches and implement detailed test plans based on the requirements to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
- Automate tests - executing them as part of new feature delivery and enabling automated regression runs for subsequent releases
- Analyze failures, determine the root cause and drive them to resolution
- Develop independent frameworks to improve development and testing processes
- Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues
- Expected to wear multiple hats in disciplines like Testing, development, DevOps & be comfortable.
What You Will Bring
- Ability to innovate and solve problems
- Love of programming - good understanding of at least one of these programming languages: Python/Go/ C/C++/Java
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems
- Ability to work on multiple technologies & independently
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- 1 - 3 years of hands-on experience
- Any Degree in Computer Science or related field
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
