Role Description This is a full-time on-site Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role located in Bengaluru. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing mechanical parts and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets specifications and quality standards. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will also mentor and train junior engineers, review and approve designs and technical documentation, and provide technical support to the production team.
Qualifications
Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Mechanical Engineering skills
Product Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills CREO
Strong integration and assembly understanding on 3D CAD
Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) - FEA, CFD
Strong understanding of DFMEA
Strong understanding and execution of GD&T and stack up analysis
Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
Experience with design optimization and cost reduction initiatives
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Strong documentation skills
Experience
Experience in the automotive or two-wheeler industry
Experience in Electric Vehicles or Robotics or Drones
Formula Student or relevant competition experience is a bonus
