Job Role: Mathematics Teacher (Middle & Senior School) (CBSE & Cambridge)

Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with CBSE and Cambridge curriculum frameworks.
- Develop annual curriculum plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and assessment schedules.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Promote conceptual understanding through inquiry-based, experiential, and application-oriented learning.
- Integrate technology, digital tools, and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Encourage mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and real-world application of concepts.
Curriculum & Assessment
- Prepare students effectively for Board examinations (CBSE Grade X/XII) and Cambridge assessments (IGCSE/AS & A Levels, where applicable).
- Design formative and summative assessments in line with curriculum expectations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Analyse assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement intervention strategies.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions for students requiring additional academic support.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Establish high expectations for student behaviour and academic achievement.
- Ensure student safety and well-being in accordance with school policies.
Student Development
- Mentor students and support their academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Encourage participation in Mathematics Olympiads, competitions, STEM initiatives, and enrichment programmes.
- Promote independent learning, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Mathematics Department and cross-functional teams to ensure curriculum alignment and interdisciplinary learning.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and school committees.
- Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional Development
- Participate in CBSE mandatory training programmes, Cambridge professional development workshops, and in-house learning initiatives.
- Stay updated with evolving pedagogical practices, curriculum changes, and educational technology.
- Demonstrate reflective teaching practices and engage in continuous professional growth. CBSE also expects teachers to use competency-based, experiential, and inclusive pedagogies while maintaining continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's Degree in Mathematics (M.Sc./M.A. Mathematics).
- B.Ed. or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Cambridge teaching certification/training will be an added advantage.
- Qualifications should comply with applicable CBSE and statutory norms.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching Mathematics in senior school.
- Experience teaching CBSE Grades IX–XII is essential.
