Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Marine Operations Associate located in Mumbai. The Marine Operations Associate will oversee daily operations of the fleet, coordinate with various departments, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assist in the scheduling and execution of voyages. The role also involves managing documentation, liaising with clients, and supporting the team in achieving operational efficiency.

Job description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) To ensure that all the vessels under time charter meet the terms and condition of charter party by monitoring of daily noon reports/position reports and coordinating with the master of the vessels. To keep a track of bunker consumption of the vessels on daily basis

2) To collect the cargo documents from the vessel from every load/discharge port

3) To evaluate and analyse the vessel performance in the charterers performance format

4) To prepare the freight invoice and prepare and evaluate the demurrage claim as per the charter party and follow up with charterers for timely payment.

5) To ensure that deck and engine logs (containing sea passage performance) after each voyage are sent to the charterers within stipulated time.

6) Raise Monthly Charter hire invoices, freight invoices, bunker reimbursement invoices and demurrage invoices to charterers and or brokers timely submission and follow ups.

7) Assist vessel Operation Superintendent in day to day work for smooth operation of vessel

8) Agency selection, appointment and approval of agent's PDA and FDA.
