Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester with 4–5 years of expertise in Website UI Testing. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, web application testing, cross-browser compatibility, responsive design validation, and defect management. The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web applications across different browsers and devices.
- Validate UI/UX, functionality, navigation, layouts, and responsiveness.
- Create, review, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on business requirements.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Perform Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
- Verify website compatibility across browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.
- Test responsive web applications on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Validate form submissions, navigation, links, error messages, and content consistency.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback for improving product quality.
- Ensure compliance with usability, accessibility, and UI standards.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 4–5 years of experience in Manual Testing of web applications.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and System Testing.
- Good knowledge of Website UI/UX testing principles.
- Experience in Cross-browser and Cross-device testing.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or HP ALM.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools for debugging UI issues.
- Experience in API testing using Postman is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is preferred.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to basic automation testing concepts (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) is an added advantage.
Good to Have
- Accessibility testing (WCAG).
- Responsive and mobile web testing.
- Performance and usability testing awareness.
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
- Knowledge of browser developer tools and network debugging.
