The Global Supply Organization is a multi-continental Function that comprises of the entire Value Chain from product conceptualization to delivery to the commercial front. Within the Global Supply Organization are included; Research & Development, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain Management and Logistics.

What you become a part of:
Manage end-to-end export logistics operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective execution of international shipments. The role is responsible for developing logistics strategies, managing service providers, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing freight costs, and driving operational excellence to support global business requirements.
What to expect:
Export Logistics & Operations
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of export shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery as per business requirements.
- Develop logistics strategies to optimize freight costs, transit time, and service efficiency.
- Ensure availability of transportation and effective coordination with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve logistics issues to minimize delays.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee preparation and review of pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation in compliance with international trade regulations.
- Ensure all regulatory approvals and certifications (DCGI, NAFDAC, Narcotics, DGFT, and other statutory requirements) are obtained prior to shipment.
- Ensure adherence to global trade compliance, customs regulations, and country-specific import/export requirements.
Vendor & Freight Management
- Lead RFQ evaluations and negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Establish service level agreements (SLAs) and conduct periodic performance reviews of Customs House Agents (CHAs), transporters, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics performance and cost efficiency.
Financial & Process Management
- Monitor logistics budgets, freight costs, and export-related expenses to achieve cost optimization targets.
- Ensure timely verification and approval of logistics invoices and coordination of vendor payments.
- Strengthen logistics processes through SAP optimization, automation, and implementation of best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of export operations.
- Support new product launches and international market expansion by ensuring logistics readiness.
- Provide regular logistics performance reports and key business insights to senior management.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the export logistics team to enhance capability and operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management or International Trade is preferred.
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in Export Logistics, International Trade, or Supply Chain within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong experience in managing exports to regulated international markets, including Africa, Asia, and other global regions.
- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems and international trade documentation.
