As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, we are seeking an Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. The Engineer sits next to our Business Partners and tests our AXIOM platform according to our stakeholder's needs.

What will your essential responsibilities include
.Support Functional and Regression testing for ETL and BI deliverables of Data Warehousing Platform.
.Effective domain knowledge of Data warehousing technologies, SQL, and Data Models to build out test strategies and lead projects from a Quality Engineering perspective.
.With an Automation-first mindset, work towards testing user interfaces such as Business Intelligence solutions and validation of functionalities while constantly looking out for efficiency gains and process improvements.
.Triage and Prioritization of stories and epics with all stakeholders to ensure optimal deliveries.
.Engage with various stakeholders like Business Partners, Product Owners, and Development and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with an overall roadmap.
.Track current progress of testing activities, finding and tracking test metrics, estimating and communicating improvement actions based on the test metrics results and the experience.
.System Integration Testing background
.Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and procedures for functional (IT), System Integration Testing (SIT).
.Review testing documentation, develop testing standards, define criteria for testing, analyze test results, and present results to stakeholders.
.Hands-on Experience in automation testing tools such as QTP /Selenium and development of automation framework.
.Contribute to best practices and standards to make sure there is a consistent and efficient approach to quality engineering efforts.
.Drive root cause analysis for identified data deficiencies within reusable data assets delivered via IDA.
.Data Validation Testing of the data products in partnership with the business teams to ensure the accuracy of the test data and validation of the requirements.
.Leadership accountability for ensuring that every release to customers is fit for purpose.
.Knowledge of Scaled Agile, Scrum or Kanban methodology.
.Optimize the performance of projects using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
.Proven ability to drive Quality Assurance success via integrated cross-functional teams involving deep collaboration with engineering, design, and production partners.
.Foster communication between all team members/roles to facilitate analysis and to favor a common understanding of the requirements or the origin of defects.
.Effective capacity to understand a Quality Assurance vision that goes beyond pure testing activities and strategies.
.Develop Quality Assurance frameworks that empower internal/external teams to be held accountable for upholding quality standards and play an essential factor in decision-making.
.Conduct requirements gathering, and risk identification, reporting on all risks followed by suitable mitigating action plans.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
.A minimum of a bachelor's or master's degree (preferred) in a relevant discipline.
.Relevant Years of testing background, including knowledge/experience in automation.
.Insurance experience in data, underwriting, claims or operations, including influencing, collaborating, and leading efforts in complex, disparate, and interrelated teams.
.Work with unstructured data to unlock information needed by the business to create unique products for the insurance industry.
.Expected to recommend innovation and improvement to policies, and procedures, deploying resources, and performing core activities.
.Experience with SQL Server, Azure Databricks Notebook, Qlikview, PowerBI, ADLS, CosmosDB, SQL DW Analytics and Jira/Confluence.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
.Should have a robust background in Software development with experience in ingesting, transforming, and storing data from large datasets using Pyspark in Azure Databricks with robust knowledge of distributed computing concepts.
.Hands-on experience in designing and developing ETL Pipelines in Pyspark in Azure Databricks with robust Python scripting.
.Excellent written and speaking communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others.
.Having experience doing UAT/System Integration testing in the insurance industry.
.Effective technical testing experience such as API testing, and UI automation is a plus.
.Ability to interpret complex data requirements and architect solutions.
.Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with effective business acumen.
.Knowledge/Experience of Testing in cloud-based systems in different data staging layers.
.Proven track record of value addition to the Product / Solutions through effective QA processes
