The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of JavaScript, REST APIs, databases, and modern web development practices. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to create high-performance features used by businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js
- Build responsive user interfaces using React.js
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and Engineering teams
- Optimize performance, scalability and security
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and React.js
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with Express.js
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
- Experience with MySQL or MongoDB
- Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Basic understanding of authentication (JWT/OAuth)
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and promises
Good to have
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- Experience with Redux or Context API
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
