Manager Finance & Accounts

Role Purpose:

The Manager – Finance & Accounts (Financial & Operational MIS) will play a critical role in supporting the finance function for the US operations from India. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial and operational MIS, driving business performance analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, management reporting, and delivering actionable insights to enable informed business decisions.

The role requires close collaboration with the US Finance, Operations, Sales, and Leadership teams during overlapping working hours to ensure seamless financial reporting and decision support.

Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM / 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (IST) to ensure maximum overlap with the USA operations and leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial MIS for the US business.
• Develop executive dashboards covering revenue, margins, profitability, cash flow, working capital, and key financial metrics.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end MIS reporting.

Operational MIS & Business Analytics

• Prepare operational dashboards covering production, inventory, procurement, logistics, sales, customer service, and supply chain KPIs.
• Identify business trends, operational bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve business performance
• Support management with ad hoc financial and operational analysis.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the annual budgeting process for the US business.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and rolling financial projections.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor departmental budgets and cost optimization initiatives.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze product profitability, customer profitability, and business segment performance.
• Evaluate pricing, cost structures, contribution margins, and operating expenses.
• Perform scenario analysis and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making.
• Support investment appraisal and business case preparation.

Business Partnering

• Work closely with the US Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
• Participate in business review meetings with US stakeholders.
• Support leadership with financial insights for strategic initiatives.
• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Maintain robust reporting controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial reporting standards.
• Support internal and external audit requirements relating to MIS and reporting.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 100% timely submission of financial and operational MIS.
• MIS accuracy of 99.5% or higher.
• Month-end reporting completed within agreed timelines.
• Forecast accuracy above 95%.
• Reduction in manual reporting effort through automation.
• Improvement in dashboard adoption by business leaders.
• Stakeholder satisfaction score above 4.5/5.
• Delivery of actionable business insights leading to measurable cost savings or productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, CPA, MBA (Finance), or Master's degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Additional certifications in Power BI, Financial Modelling, SAP, or Data Analytics are desirable.

Experience

• 6–10 years of experience in Finance, Management Reporting, Business Finance, FP&A, or MIS.
• Experience supporting US or global operations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering organizations is desirable.
