Job description - Manager Data Quality
Position summary:We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager – Data Quality to lead our enterprise-wide data quality function. This role is responsible for defining and implementing data quality frameworks, managing a team of data quality professionals, and ensuring data integrity across systems to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise, leadership ability, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the organization's data quality strategy, policies, and roadmap.
- Establish data quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks aligned with business goals.
- Champion a data quality culture across the organization through training and awareness programs.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data quality leads, analysts, and associates.
- Oversee team capacity planning, performance reviews, and career development.
Data quality oversight:
- Define and implement data quality standards, validation rules, and monitoring processes.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data across all systems (CRM, CMS, Web applications etc.).
- Investigate root causes of data quality issues and drive corrective/preventive actions.
Governance and compliance:
- Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure alignment with enterprise data policies, including data lineage and stewardship models.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements through strong quality controls.
Cross functional Collaboration:
- Partner with IT, Data Engineering, BI, Product, and Business stakeholders to ensure data quality requirements are embedded in systems and processes.
- Participate in major data initiatives including migrations, platform upgrades, and integrations.
- Reporting and insights:
- Develop and maintain dashboards/reports that provide visibility into data quality trends, issues, and improvement efforts.
- Communicate data health status to senior leadership and recommend strategic improvements.
Qualifications:Experience:- Prior experience with data entry, CMS platforms, or administrative tasks is preferred.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Familiarity with CMS tools (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore) is a plus.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- 9–12 years of experience in data management, with at least 4–5 years in a data quality or data governance leadership role.
- Proven experience leading data quality programs and teams in a mid-to-large-scale organization.
Preferred qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
