A managerial role responsible for the successful management of both contract portfolios and project delivery initiatives, ensuring commercial value, operational excellence, risk mitigation, stakeholder satisfaction, and achievement of organisational objectives through effective governance, execution, and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Contract Strategy, Negotiation & Governance
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, service providers, and business partners to achieve commercially sound and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop, review, negotiate, and administer a broad range of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
- Define and optimise contract terms, including pricing models, service levels, performance metrics, risk allocation, indemnities, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Develop contract structures and commercial approaches to support business objectives.
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead and manage contract-related projects and strategic initiatives from planning through execution and closure.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage dependencies, and drive timely completion of deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, proactively address issues and risks, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
Contract Lifecycle & Performance Management
- Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including sourcing, execution, implementation, monitoring, renewal, amendment, and termination activities.
- Track contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, and service level commitments to ensure compliance and performance expectations are met.
- Manage vendor performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary to address gaps or non-compliance.
Risk Management & Mitigation
- Identify, assess, and manage contractual, project, operational, financial, and compliance risks.
- Partner with Business Units and key stakeholders to implement effective risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Ensure governance controls are in place to minimize exposure and support business continuity.
Stakeholder & Vendor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on contract and project matters, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.
- Resolve disputes, manage escalations, and foster collaborative partnerships that support long-term business success.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Continuously evaluate and improve contract management and project delivery processes.
- Drive the implementation of tools, systems, methodologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency, governance, and operational effectiveness.
- Champion process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Reporting, Analytics & Strategic Insights
- Prepare and present contract, vendor, and project performance reports to management.
- Analyse trends, risks, financial impacts, and key performance indicators to provide actionable business insights.
- Support strategic decision-making through data-driven recommendations and performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building, Engineering, or related disciplines preferred.
- Minimum 10 years in project management, procurement, or similar fields, with strong project-management exposure and supervisory experience.
- Advanced capability in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation competencies.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Independence, initiative, and self-motivation in managing work responsibilities.
- Leadership ability to manage tasks and collaborate across functions.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in venue management.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
