Job Summary
The Liasoning Manager Billing will act as the primary point of coordination between the company and ULB officials for all billing, invoicing, and payment-related matters. This role demands excellent follow-up capabilities, strong analytical and Excel skills, and the ability to manage a team while ensuring smooth execution of billing processes and timely collections. Understanding of the SWM or similar service-based industry is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Client Liaison & Relationship Management
- Serve as the main contact for billing, invoicing, and payment coordination with ULB officials.
- Build and maintain professional relationships within ULBs to ensure smooth communication and timely financial closure.
- Resolve billing queries and discrepancies promptly.
Billing, Invoicing & Documentation
- Oversee end-to-end billing cycles ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to contractual terms.
- Prepare and submit invoices, reconciliation statements, and all required documentation on time.
- Cross-verify service delivery data and records with billing requirements.
Collections & Follow-Up
- Conduct and lead regular follow-ups for outstanding payments with a sharp, proactive approach.
- Coordinate visits to ULB offices for invoice submissions and collection-related discussions.
- Prepare aging reports and strategize to mitigate delays and expedite collections.
Team Handling
- Lead and manage a team (minimum 3 years of team-handling experience required).
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of billing operations.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support for the team's professional development.
Reporting & Analysis
- Analyze billing and collection data to identify trends and delays and provide actionable insights.
- Maintain strong analytical and Excel-based data interpretation and presentation skills for reporting.
- Present billing status, outstanding payments, and revenue updates to management.
Compliance & Records Management
- Ensure all billing practices comply with government norms, contracts, and company policies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records for audits and internal reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Up to 5 years of overall experience (must include 3+ years of team-handling experience in previous roles).
- Strong understanding of Solid Waste Management (SWM) or related service-based industries (mandatory).
- Excellent communication skills verbal, non-verbal, listening, comprehension, and negotiation.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel and data interpretation capabilities.
- Sharp follow-up skills with a proactive and persistent approach.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Jaipur.
