Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and control the commissioning of boiler structures, pressure parts, ESP systems, and auxiliaries, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of boiler air and flue gas ducts, SCR ducts, reactors, coal piping, rotating equipment (APH, fans, coal mills), and coal bunkers.
  • Develop and monitor commissioning schedules, ensuring optimal resource and material management.
  • Verify weekly/monthly MIS reports related to materials, drawings, processes, and resources to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure safety compliance at the site by reviewing JSA/HIRA, commissioning methodologies, and checklists for erection activities.
  • Conduct compliance checks before initiating erection activities, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and ensure seamless commissioning processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and oversight for the commissioning of boiler structures and associated systems, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Monitor and report on commissioning progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project success.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commissioning efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • BE-Mechanical, full-time degree course in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute/university.
  • Up to 15 years of experience in commissioning thermal power plants with capacities of 660 MW and above.
  • Proven expertise in planning, execution, and control of boiler structures, pressure parts, and associated systems.
