Job Description

  • WMGTS is seeking a highly skilled individual with confirmed proficiency as a Manager - Projects
  • This position will support the growing team in India, Primary responsibility of this role includes working on New fitout & Refurbishment projects planning to execution and handover, Coordinate closely with all internal stake holders to develop requirement list
  • Coordinating with Designers, PMC & Cost Consultant in developing State of the art office design, Robust Tender and Contract documents, Procurement & Execution strategy, construction management, Risk analysis, Change management, complying with internal and external regulations, Preparing and circulating WPR & MSR to management, Driving milestone objectives
  • Monitors and reports business area information by analyzing and reporting metrics; identifying trends and errors; identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement; determining performance; and creating reports to provide recommendations to support business decisions
  • He/She will also be responsible for Managing financial accuracy for business area by developing and implementing quality improvement processes and programs; evaluating operations; ensuring follow up audits and corrective action on quality issues are completed;
  • establishing new or improved processes and procedures to increase operational performance and profitability and resolve work flow issues;
  • developing approaches to minimize variances; ensuring systems are capable of producing accurate results; communicating best practices, current concerns, and corrective actions; and developing action plans for operational execution

What you'll do:

  • He/She is responsible for 100% uptime of electricity across buildings, zero down time of equipment which involves diligent monitoring and maintenance through 24/7 operations.
  • Responsible to ensure productive work environment for business to accomplish their core deliverables.
  • Areas of work include power systems energizing the lighting in the buildings, air-conditioning systems cooling office floors, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) for the operations of all the critical equipment like the audio video equipment in meeting/conference/collab areas / hub rooms, safety and security equipment including fire alarm systems, public address systems, firefighting systems and other related equipment.
  • Manages annual maintenance contracts with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for all installations across IDC

Compliance - All IDC locations

He is responsible for the compliance for all the buildings:

  • Manage inspections of competent authorities at premises including electrical inspectorate, pollution control board, lift inspections etc
  • Liaison with landlord to procure/renew licenses for critical equipment, procure approvals for new installations and ensure landlords maintain valid insurance for buildings
  • Ensuring the insurance coverage for all Walmart assets that are capitalized from time to time
  • Liaison with internal stake holders and insurance companies to claim insurance for lost assets
  • Disposal of hazardous waste from buildings
  • Quarterly audits to ensure 100% compliance of building pre-requisites in line with the prevailing laws

STPI / SEZ - Bengaluru & Chennai.

  • Responsible for governance of Special Economic Zone norms (SEZ -2 buildings) and Software parks of India (STPI - 1 building)
  • All logistics involved in procurement of goods and materials will have to processed with approvals from SEZ authorities
  • Coordinate with Customs house agent to procure approvals for all import and export related transactions
  • Procure approvals from authorities for all material movements between SEZ and STPI units
  • eWay bills/Gate passes for material movement from these offices
  • Filing of reports on monthly basis as stipulated by the authorities
  • Liaison with SEZ / STPI authorities to resolve issues from time to time

Asset Management / Audits - All IDC Locations

  • Asset management is an integral part of eCrew function and an important part in ensuring the assets are capitalized, maintained and audited as per the organization s Financial control standards which is managed completely by him.
  • There are around 30,000 assets under eCrew control
  • Accounting of assets from time to time on acquisition on a monthly basis Coordination with ADE and Business teams to shift, transfer, dispose are some of the activities involved on a regular basis
  • Periodic audits is a statutory requirement, which is an extensive activity every year to validate the availability of assets as per the books of accounts and reporting

What you'll bring:

  • 12-15 years in Project Management within recognized consulting or client organisation Related experience, including corporate office environment and fast track delivery models
  • Ability to connect and lead dispersed internal/external project teams Understanding of India construction methods and approval processes Experience with high-end local and International technical projects an advantage
  • Verbal and written English - majority communication in English
  • Proven track record in delivery of projects.

EDUCATION: BA/BS in Architecture/Civil engineering, Facilities, Construction Management or Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years experience in operations, retail, project management, or related area OR 4 years experience in operations, retail, project management, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

4 years Walmart Home Office experience., Masters degree in Business Administration., Project Management certification.
