Job Description

Design, develop and maintain complex software systems in Mainframe ensuring high quality and timely delivery
4-10 years of experience in developing and supporting Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM
Collaborate with project managers, product owners and other stake holders to define, prioritize and plan projects
Debugging and bug fixing in existing code
Suggest system improvements
Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Lead a team of software developers and provide technical direction and guidance
Should have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Experience in Insurance domain is a plus
Assembler experience is a plus
SCLM and BMC Code Pipleline experience is a plus

Mainframe Skills - Advanced level experience with

COBOL, JCL in a z/OS environment, DB2 and SQL, CICS with BMS mapsets, Assembler a plus, z/OS Connect a plus
TSO ISPF functions and utilities, other programming support utilities such as File Manager, Fault Analyzer, IDCAMS, IEBGENER / ICEGENER, DFSORT, DSUTILITIES.
MVS, z/OS, JCL; debug tools e.g. Intertest, Xpediter, IBM Debugger
Reporting tools for quick adhoc reporting e.g. QMF, DYL 280, SPUFI, Access, SQL, etc.
Data storage file types: Sequential, VSAM, DB2, Tape, Disk, generational data sets (GDG), and temporary file handling
File Structures Sequential, VSAM, DB2, Tape, disk and generational data sets (GDG), temporary file handling
File Transmission using APIs, FTP, etc.
