10 to 15 years of operations experience in RedHat Linux domain
Excellent skills OS installation, OS migration and different types of roles in OS.
Expert in Problem solving and issue troubleshooting
Knowledge about patching, OS hardening and troubleshooting
RedHat Satellite, DNS, HA Clustering technology
Should have worked on Vulnerability Assessment and Patch management
Knowledge about Linux Performance fine tuning, Network and resource utilization
Knowledge about different storage devices i.e., SAN, NetApp NAS etc.
Experience in Linux Filesystem and Storage
Net backup or backup software related concepts, configuration and management ITIL concepts SFTP, SMTP (Postfix), Shell Scripting, Ansible playbooks, Kernel tuning, Network Bonding, Multicast concepts, packet Capture (tcpdump)
Working with RedHat Support engineers to resolve issues
User management, File folder Permission and ownership, NAS, CIFS, ISCSI mount
Experience on Datacenter and Security knowledge.
Review the logs of systems behavior in case of any issues
Checking and applying updates on OS, if applicable
VM configuration, dvSwitch, Cluster, HA, DRS configuration knowledge would be an added advantage
Veritas Netbackup client installation, configuration and troubleshooting
Ensure highest productivity of team members and managing the shift schedule as per business need Ability to communicate with technical as well as non-technical audience Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Preferred skills and not mandatory:
windows operations sills would be added advantage
Knowledgeable in any of the major public cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, GCP
Cloud Management Platform
Automation / various scripting skills to perform run book and DR Automation with respect to Linux operation
