Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Level 2 Field Service Engineers who are passionate about troubleshooting and repairing laptops at customer locations. You will be responsible for diagnosing hardware and software issues, performing on-site repairs, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and representing the Sortify India brand with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

* Visit customer locations to diagnose and repair laptops.

* Perform motherboard-level diagnostics and component replacement.

* Replace laptop screens, keyboards, batteries, hinges, cooling fans, SSDs, RAM, charging ports, and other hardware components.

* Troubleshoot Windows, BIOS, driver, and software-related issues.

* Handle data backup, OS installation, driver installation, and system optimization.

* Ensure repairs are completed within defined turnaround times (TAT).

* Maintain high first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction.

* Update service reports, repair status, and customer signatures through the company's service application.

* Follow SOPs, ESD safety standards, and quality guidelines.

* Coordinate with the technical support and inventory teams for spare parts.

* Educate customers about preventive maintenance and warranty policies.

Required Skills

* 2–5 years of experience in laptop repair and troubleshooting.

* Strong understanding of Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Apple MacBook, MSI, and other leading laptop brands.

* Expertise in hardware diagnostics and field repairs.

* Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, BIOS, drivers, and networking basics.

* Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple service visits.

* Smartphone proficiency for service app updates and digital documentation.

Qualifications

* Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Hardware, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Relevant certifications in hardware repair are an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

* Experience in doorstep or field service operations.

* Customer-first attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

* Willingness to travel within Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

* Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.
