Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate, located in New Delhi. The Research Associate will engage in extensive legal research across various domains to support case strategies and client requirements. Responsibilities include preparing comprehensive reports, analyzing legal developments, and drafting case summaries. The role also involves communication with internal teams, staying updated with regulatory changes, and contributing to the effective outcomes for the firm's clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research on legal propositions in time-bound manner to support different legal teams in devising legal strategies
  • Preparation of compendiums to assist as ready reckoners for other legal teams
  • Research on fields of law such as Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Commercial Disputes, Banking Disputes, IPR, Capital Markets, Contracts, Labour Laws etc.
  • Assist in preparing research reports for publication
  • Assist in preparing notes for opinions and comments
  • Assist in preparing content for newsletters and articles
  • Manage a team of research interns

Qualifications

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Expertise in use of Legal Research Tools such as Manupatra, SCCOnline
  • Excellent drafting and report writing capabilities, with proficiency in organizing and presenting findings
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for teamwork and client interactions
  • Adaptability to changing legal scenarios and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  • Prior experience or internships in legal research or consulting is an added advantage
  • Experience as Legal Researcher with a High Court/ Supreme Court Judge is preferred.
