Drafting, vetting and maintaining arepository of various agreements, notices and other legal documents.
Filing and Registration of new Trademarksand Copyrights, Renewals of existing ones and maintain the MIS of all theTrademarks and Copyrights.
Assists in thedevelopment of best practice with regards to the legal aspects of commercialand contractual matters entrusted
Determine keycontract terms and conditions and communicate pertinent information in theTerms and Conditions of each contract to appropriate end users.
Act as key point ofcontact for any questions/needs regarding contracts or other legalese tovarious business units and heads.
Contribute tonegotiations as liaison between internal and external personnel including indiscussions on key contract terms, conditions, and pricing as required.
Handle litigationand piracy matter issues independently or in coordination with appropriateauthorities.
Manage RiskAssessment and Management in respect of the various business transactions
Desiredprofile:
A LLB with 1-5 year corporate experience inmanaging end to end of contracts, Trademarks and litigation
Diplomas in legal vocations/subjects likeMedia ad entertainment. Intellectual property rights etc would be a plus.
Candidates from Media Industry will bepreferred.
Experience in contract and agreements development, legal termsreview, negotiations, contract management
Good Experience of Intellectual PropertyLaws such as the Copyright Act & Rules & the Trade Marks Act and rules,ISP, E-commerce, Digital Media, Licensing.
Good understanding and application of TRAIbroadcasting and cable services interconnect regulations, the Cable TV Act etc
Good understanding of procedural laws suchas CPC, CrPC and substantive laws such asIPC and other economic offensestatutes.
Well versed in Corporate Laws, Laborlaws, Litigation and Compliance
In-depth knowledge of contemporary legalpractice
Strong communication skills, both verbaland written
Effective organizational skills in amultitask environment.
Ability to analyze data and recommendcourses of action.
