Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 23 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Strong understanding of corporate and commercial laws and regulations.
- Team player and Positive attitude with high ethical standards & a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong research aptitude with an investigative mindset.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing documentation and filing systems.
- Good time management skills and flexibility to collaborate across US and other international time zones.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Drafting:
- Draft vendor contracts and work orders using approved templates.
- Develop new templates for emerging types of engagements.
- Review and enhance existing contract templates.
- Coordinate and prepare client MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and SOWs.
- Maintain comprehensive logs for client documentation and highlight key terms such as representations, warranties, and insurance clauses to the leadership team.
- Track and maintain SOW-to-PO (Statement of Work to Purchase Order) correlations.
- Draft and update internal policies in collaboration with relevant departments (e.g., HR, Accounting).
Coordination:
- Collaborate with external professionals (attorneys, accountants) in the US, Canada, Mexico, and other jurisdictions for legal document review.
- Liaise with other internal teams like HR, Accounting, Network Admin, Pillar Leads, and Team Leads; to ensure timely communication of contract-related information to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate company-wide communication for annual or periodic affirmations on policies and rollout of new policies.
Documentation:
- Electronic Filing and ensuring clean documentation of all contracts Client, Vendor as well as Service contracts
- Managing and update Vendor database and automating it as much as possible.
- Policies circulation and saving in permanent files for Employees, Vendors and Clients
Renewals tracking:
- Assist with creating a system to ensure tracking of renewals of various Client and Vendor SOWs/Work orders
- Coordinate and ensure completion of all year-end contract renewals.
Reporting and Research:
- Review and report on the completeness and accuracy of vendor databases, client SOWs, and employee records.
- Conduct legal research on applicable requirements, guidelines, and templates for business letters, agreements, and policies.
Back up Legal team members for US & Canada Immigration:
- Occasionally liaise with US immigration attorney and Canada Immigration Consultant
- Assist to Track Work permit information for filing timely renewals
- Assist with Preparing Business travel related immigration letters
- Assist to Liaise, prepare, track and follow up for Green Card and H1 related documentation and coordinate for filings
