Informed by research and data, we solve complex needs and build iteratively toward our vision. We ship high-fidelity designs of new features and prototype solutions. We own these projects from start to finish and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, product managers, content strategists, and researchers to deliver the best possible experience

About The Role

We are looking for a design leader with 8+ years of strong product design, user experience design, interaction design, visual design and design management experience to lead Wibmo's design team. The design leader will own banks, issuers, acquirers and fintech experience for all Wibmo products including prepaid platform, fraud risk management, ACS, multifactor authentication, payment gateway and more.

Responsibilities

You'll define best practices, frameworks, principles, influence ways of operating, coach and provide Expertise to the design team so that it:

  • Obsesses over the need to understands customer needs and business objectives
  • Becomes the customer's advocate in the org - stay close to customers and partners
  • Drives product and market research, competitive analysis, planning positioning and roadmap development
  • Leads from front to identify and solve for gaps in customer and partner experience
  • Drives product discovery, opportunity assessment, identify problems to solve, define GTM, define product, execute, measure and iterate in collaboration with product management, engineering, and marketing
  • Collaborates closely with engineering, product management, production support, operations, finance, banking alliances, marketing and sales teams
  • Makes data-driven product decisions and democratize product success metrics across teams
  • Most importantly, owns the outcome

Requirements

  • Strong people management and leadership experience to build, develop and inspire a creative team
  • 8+ years of strong hands-on product design, user experience design, interaction design, visual design experience
  • 3+ years of design leadership experience
  • Having built products for merchants/banks in the Indian ecosystem that operated at scale is a plus
  • Bonus points for experience in building 0 to 1 products
  • A curious mind with the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Highly effective cross-functional team collaboration skills
  • Ability to build narratives and drive clarity across orgs
  • Ability to build, sustain and mentor a high-performance team
