Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Analytics team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Lead Specialist - Data Analytics & Insight

We will count on you to:

  • Ability to work with International stakeholders across all levels, understand business objectives and make sure any analysis and findings are aligned to those business objectives
  • Assembling large, complex sets of data Identifying, implementing internal process improvements including optimizing data delivery and automating manual processes
  • Deliver complex regular and ad-hoc analysis: Support on complex analysis requests from various business areas to provide insight on specific areas of interest on a regular as well as ad-hoc basis
  • Gather, analyse and model data using analytical tools and techniques to develop business insights to drive decisions.
  • Should possess strong data visualization abilities using qlikview/qliksense
  • Show strong problem solving capability, understand the business requirement and explore all possible solutioning technique to achieve the desired result.
  • Should possess strong data visualization abilities to communicate the insights from data
  • Attention to detail is a must with a focus on executive quality presentations
  • Multi-tasking on multiple projects on tight timelines occasionally.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering / Analytics or Masters Degree in Statistics/Computer Applications/ IT/Analytics /any discipline related to Data visualization / Analytics.
  • 3-6 years of progressive experience mining large complex data sets, using a variety of advanced quantitative/modelling techniques.
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • Strong consulting experience and stakeholder management
  • Intermediate to advance excel skills and Power BI, Qlik (good to have)
  • Basic to intermediate coding experience in Python, SQL, etc.
  • Hands on experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying visually appealing and easy-to-use dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Excel/Qlikview/Qliksense/Power BI, following best practices and standard guidelines.
  • Must be good at Data transformation and EDA
  • Keenness and urgency to learn about the Marsh and the business units business, and insurance industry in general
