As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking Technology Team, youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS

  • Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS.

  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and system
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management.

  • Implement logging and tracing using ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement modern technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Experience in Java language, Springboot framework or scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Python
  • Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, EKS, ECS Fargate, VPC, IAM, and networking and Atlas 2.0

  • Proven track record of building and managing continual automation / deployment / delivery environments

  • Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Ensure disaster recovery strategies are in place using multi-region deployments, backups, and failover mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS for container orchestration
  • Proven track recorddesigning and implementing comprehensive observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) and automating complex CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with any rule engines such as IBM ODM
  • Worked with IBM ODM deployment and Containarization
  • Familiarity with AI and Copilot concepts
