Job Summary:

Looking for Principal and Staff Designers who are strong individual contributors, people who love solving complex problems, taking on diverse challenges, and exploring new business bets. Designers who raise the bar for design quality, push teams to think beyond, and demonstrate strength in interaction, design system, motion design through their day-to-day craft. This role is for someone who leads through craft, clarity, and impact a designer who can take full ownership of complex problem statements, create meaningful user experiences at scale, and push the boundaries of design excellence across Rapido's ecosystem.

You'll be hands-on defining problems, crafting elegant solutions, collaborating deeply with product and tech, and setting a high bar for design quality and execution speed.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end design for key product areas from problem discovery to final execution.
• Define project scope and success metrics in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Translate complex business goals and user needs into simple, intuitive, and scalable experiences.
• Design visually refined and interaction-rich interfaces, balancing usability, performance, and delight.
• Contribute actively to the Rapido Design System, ensuring design consistency across products.
• Set and uphold a high design quality bar, review, refine, and raise the level of craft in visual and interaction design.
• Partner with research to validate design decisions and integrate insights into the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ship high-quality designs that drive measurable business impact.
• Lead by example mentoring peers through critique and collaboration, not formal management.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience designing for fast-paced consumer products (preferably mobile-first).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, deep craft, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience navigating ambiguous problems and shaping solutions through both design
• thinking and execution excellence.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, accessibility, and scalable design systems.
• A proactive mindset, curious, self-driven, and always seeking to improve both process and product.
