Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Lead to lead the design, development, delivery, and operational excellence of the TeleSense software platform.
This role combines engineering leadership with hands-on technical contribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering team covering Front-End, Mobile, Backend, QA, and DevOps functions while also serving as a senior technical contributor with strong expertise in modern web technologies.
The ideal candidate possesses a unique combination of strong technical depth, leadership capability, product thinking, and execution excellence. They must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, driving engineering best practices, mentoring team members, collaborating with global stakeholders, and taking ownership of platform delivery from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and manage the software engineering function for the TeleSense platform.
- Provide technical direction and leadership across product development initiatives.
- Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, coding guidelines, and operational processes.
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach software engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.
- Participate actively in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and team development.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, architecture reviews, security reviews, and quality practices.
- Foster collaboration across Product Management, Operations, Commercial Teams, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure groups.
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and evolve the overall software architecture for the TeleSense platform.
- Drive modernization initiatives to improve scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
- Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Identify technical debt and create structured remediation plans.
- Ensure systems are designed for high availability, maintainability, and future growth.
- Establish architecture governance and engineering review processes.
Product Delivery & Execution
- Own end-to-end software delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand priorities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and release management.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and technical challenges proactively.
- Ensure delivery commitments are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Track engineering KPIs and continuously improve team efficiency and development velocity.
Cross-Functional Technical Leadership
- Work closely with Backend Engineers, DevOps Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and external vendors.
- Participate in solution design discussions across the entire application landscape.
- Support cloud-native architecture and deployment initiatives.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across development and operations.
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
Platform Operations & Support
- Oversee production platform stability and operational readiness.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution for critical production incidents.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability standards.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
- Continuously improve platform reliability and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
- Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade applications.
- Experience working directly with business and product stakeholders.
