Job Description
The role is responsible for driving and ensuring the commercial success of Green Hydrogen projects while adhering to established policies and regulations. The role oversees the commercial aspects of project development, including financial modeling, negotiations, solutioning, market positioning of ReNew s products and services. The role also leads the organizations efforts to influence public policy, legislation, and regulatory frameworks and plays a crucial role in promoting ReNew s interests through effective advocacy and engagement with policymakers.

Key responsibilities:

1.Commercial-

-Evaluate new business opportunities, develop pricing strategies, contract terms, and negotiation approaches to maximize profitability and mitigate risks.
-Lead the financial modeling and costing analysis with the engineering team to ascertain cost estimates for projects and provide financial numbers to the sales team in terms of cost, quote, terms etc.
-Collaborate with internal teams on contracting and commercial activities under New Business, such as land acquisition, commercial contracts, MoU s, partnership agreements, CO2 contracting, etc., get off-take agreement, secure financial investment decision and handover to projects team.
-Oversee the sourcing and negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements for the procurement of carbon dioxide for producing hydrocarbons.

2.Policy advocacy-

-Develop and execute a comprehensive policy advocacy strategy that aligns with the organizations strategic plans and objectives.
-Monitor regulatory developments, analyze existing/proposed legislation, regulations, and government policies to assess their impact on the organization and develop informed advocacy positions.
-Plan and execute advocacy initiatives to influence public policy at local, regional, and national or international levels, work with central and state governments for policy advocacy, incentives etc.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, advocacy groups and relevant industry associations to build coalitions and alliances in support of common policy goals, favorable policies in the renewable energy space.

3.Business development-

-Partner with the sales and business development teams to identify, evaluate business opportunities, partnerships, or market entry strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
-Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to strategically position ReNew products or services and participate in customer meetings acting as the knowledge base/expert for the team.
-Understand customer requirements, translate the requirements to the RE team and design solutions based on the capacity or output requirements.

4.Team management-

-Participate in the process of identifying, selecting, and onboarding talent for positions within the team.
-Establish individual/team performance expectations, set objectives and conduct performance reviews.
-Identify and create development opportunities for team members and take appropriate actions to build an engaged and skilled workforce.
