Lead BI Engineer

Location : Bengalore

Notice Period: Immediate to 15days Joiners

Work with our leadership on defining current state and next gen analytics solutions and strategies.

· Lead BI projects centered on Tableau dashboards and data sets.

· Research new technologies and how they can be implemented .

· Design strategies for enterprise database, data warehouse systems, BI tooling, and multidimensional cubes.

· Perform code reviews and design reviews on BI dashboards created by other team members.

· Must be able to work collaboratively with business users, data engineers, and other BI professionals.

· Responsible for developing Tableau dashboards and Tableau data sets using AtScale Semantic layer.

· Develop and support data pipelines, data lake, and data warehouse solution along with finding ways to unlock value from data to support our business decisions.

· Create, maintain, and leverage best practices and design standards to provide business dashboards that provide critical business insight to our business users and stakeholders.

· Take existing Tableau dashboards and certify dashboard via query analysis, testing, and updating

· Provide clean data sets / products to product owners, analytics/business intelligence teams and end users.

· Techno Functional Split - 80 / 20

· Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements (i.e., automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.).

· Cross-functionally supports analytical requests for both internal and external stakeholders.

· Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

· Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation.

· Solve complex data problems to deliver insights that helps our business to achieve their goals.

· Create data products for analytics and data scientist team members to improve their productivity.

Additional Job Description

Required

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

· 8 + years experience working as an analytics engineer, bi developer data scientist, data engineer, or related

· BI Development as part of an agile scrum team

· BI Development using tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

· Advanced experience with Data Warehouse technologies such as Google BigQuery or AWS Redshift

· Advanced SQL skills using direct queries, views, or materialized views

· Unit Testing and testing strategies/methodologies

Preferred

· Expert level SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.

· Extensive Tableau Experience

· Experience with AtScale cubes or other semantic / cube based technologies

· Google BigQuery

· QSR / Restaurant experience
