The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies for key corporate hospitals and institutions. The role involves driving business growth through value-based selling, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering sales objectives while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned key hospitals and corporate accounts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Drive business growth by identifying new hospital opportunities and expanding existing business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key Business Leaders (KBLs), hospital administrators, purchase teams, pharmacists, microbiologists, intensivists, infectious disease specialists, anaesthesiologists, and other stakeholders.
- Understand customer needs, competitor activities, and market dynamics to increase product adoption.
- Develop conversion strategies for new product introductions and institutional business.
- Manage large corporate accounts and monitor account performance to maximize business potential.
- Conduct regular account reviews and implement corrective actions wherever required.
- Build state-wise sales forecasts to achieve budgeted targets.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and improving service delivery.
- Promote Amneal's product differentiators to create strong brand recall.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and update the Must-See List (MSL) regularly.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Commercial Excellence, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to execute business plans effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations while interacting with healthcare professionals and commercial entities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Analyze account performance and recommend business improvement initiatives.
- Track KPIs and monitor account effectiveness.
- Support Commercial Excellence with sales dashboards, reporting, and execution analytics.
- Monitor competitor activities and market intelligence.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, product launches, and developmental initiatives.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset in delivering business objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc., Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or equivalent).
- MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of institutional selling and hospital business.
- Knowledge of Anti-infective, Critical Care, and Hospital portfolio will be preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent.
- MBA (Preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of successful experience in hospital pharmaceutical sales.
- Proven experience in managing Corporate Hospitals and Institutional Key Accounts.
- Experience in High-End Antibiotics, Anti-infectives, Critical Care, or related specialty portfolio preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing strategic customer relationships.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments.
- Strong track record of delivering sales growth and business expansion.
