Job Description

Position Summary

The Junior Architect will support the Design & Engineering team in developing customer-specific data centre layouts, preparing business and technical presentations, maintaining architectural documentation, and producing high-quality graphical deliverables.

The role will primarily support colocation customer engagements by rapidly translating customer requirements into layout options while assisting the senior architectural team in project documentation. This position enables senior architects to focus on technical design, consultant coordination, construction support, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Layout Planning

Develop customer white-space layouts based on colocation requirements.

Modify rack layouts, cages, suites, and office areas as per client requirements.

Prepare multiple layout options for customer discussions.

Update floor plans during leasing and customer fit-out stages.

Coordinate space planning with Sales, Solutions, and Design teams.

Architectural Design Support

Prepare and update: Floor plans, General arrangement drawings, Space planning layouts, Furniture layouts, Architectural mark-ups, Equipment layouts, Maintain CAD and Revit drawing libraries, Incorporate review comments from senior architects.

Technical Business Presentation Support

Prepare high-quality presentations for: Customer proposals, Executive management, Board reviews, Design reviews, Investment approvals, Project milestones, Marketing collateral

Graphic Design & Visualization

Create professional graphics using: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign (preferred), PowerPoint, Canva (preferred)

Produce:

Rendered floor plans, Site development visuals, Master plans, Capacity expansion plans, Colored zoning layouts, Customer presentation visuals, 3D concept images (preferred), Before/after layout comparisons, Wayfinding and signage concepts

Drawing Management

Maintain architectural drawing registers, Ensure revision control, Organize project files, Coordinate drawing submissions with the Document Controller, Archive superseded drawings.

Design Coordination Support

Assist the Senior Architect by:Tracking consultant deliverables, Preparing meeting , presentations, Recording design review comments, Updating action trackers, Coordinating drawing revisions, Supporting design workshops.

Marketing & Proposal Support

Support Business Development by preparing: Customer brochures, Campus development graphics, White-space utilization studies, Capacity planning illustrations, Site selection presentations, Technical proposal graphics

Software Skills

Essential:

AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

Preferred:

Autodesk Revit, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, Bluebeam Revu, Canva

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch)

Experience

5 years in architecture, interior design, workplace planning, or commercial building projects.

Experience in preparing architectural drawings and presentations.

2 years Data centre experience is preferred.
